At the crossroads in Štrba continue straight on moderately ascending towards Važec 7 km away. From the most elevated point of the ascent, but also along the whole stretch there are superb views of the mountain range of the High Tatras on your right. A comparatively steep descent to Važec (792 m a.s.l. railway station, track no.18 Žilina - Košice) follows. Cross the village to the crossroads with road no.18 beyond the railway track At the crossroads go left towards Žilina. The stretch to Liptovský Hrádok is little frequented due to existence of parallel motorway. The road to Východná (755 m a.s.l.), 6 km away, passes through undulating terrain. After Východná a mild ascent is followed by a continuous 7 km long descent through Hybe to the crossroads with road no.72. From there the stretch to Liptovský Hrádok is familiar.
