The Liptov region skirted with mountain ranges is indeed a paradise for hiker. Setting out in any direction one finds an attractive mountainous landscape, satisfyciently variable as far as the distance, grade, profile or elevation, and nature ot the visited place are concerned. The landscape of the Liptov is extremely varied. Ascents to the most significant mountains of the regions are represented here: the Veľký Choč Mt., Baranec Mt., Jakubiná Mt, Saladín Mt., Krakova hoľa Mt., Poludnica Mt., Ďumbier Mt....
Liptov is rich for beauty of valleys, which offer many possibilities of walking and hiking. Visitors can admire the beauty and multiplicity of liptov nature here.
National Park of Nizke Tatry (NAPANT) is the largest protected area in Slovakia. It was founded on 14th June 1978. It is a part of the mountains Inner Carpathian Mountains. There is a lot of unique karst phenomenons, large ridges, rich flora and animal kingdom and other factors making this national park unique. Low Tatras are almost the biggest mountains of East Carpthian Mountains.
National Park of Tatry (TANAP) is the highest muontains of the Carpathian arch. It was founded on 18th December 1948. It was the first national park in Czechoslovakia. It has a big diversity of the natural phenomenons. There are many rocky hills, deep valleys, steep hillsides, seas of rocks, transparent lakes and unique animal kingdom and flora. Territory of TANAP is consisted of High Tatras, West Tatras and Belianske Tatras. Its territory is on the area of 76 763 ha.
The most shining decor of tatras valleys are mountain lakes – tarns, which capture of their original beauty of icebearg background. The most defined is name – mountain eyes. There are some waterfalls too.
