Lower Temnosmrečianské tarn is the third biggest tarn on Slovak side of Tatras. The tarn is large 12ha, deep 38m and situated in 1 677m. u.s.

You can visit it in season from 16.6 to 31.10. It is reachable by red or blue sign from Podbanské or from Tri Studničky under the Kriváň. You have to go back by the same route. It is not possibble continue to Chalubinské vráta seddle and Poland.

Higher Temnosmrečianské tarn  is smaller than Lower tarn. Higher Tamnosmrečianske tarn is large 5,55ha, deep 19m and it is situated in 1 724m.u.s.
