Tatrín and Memorandum of the Slovak Nation
The exposition "Tatrín and Memorandum of the Slovak Nation" is located in the rooms of the former evangelic parsonage. The parsonage was a witness to the life of many personalities such as Matúš Blaho-a priest, Juraj Jánošík and Michal Miloslav Hodža.
Hodža was a chairman of the first nation-wide cultural group of the Slovaks called Tatrín which was founded in 1844 in Liptovský Mikuláš. The first political program of the Slovaks, the "Memorandum of the Slovak nation" was written and published here in 1848. These whirlwind events are commemorated in an exhibition where the visitors can see furniture and rare books as well as numerous paintings and drawings.
