A unique Shepherds´ Museum gives its visitors an idea of a life of shepherds and their herd-boys in sheep farms in Liptov area.
In years 1804 – 1805 was built in Liptovský Hrádok ironwork, in which was mainly made weapons. Here was made plate rifle, carabine and guns. According to publish dates here was yearly made over 24 000 peaces of weapons.
The Liptov museum in its stable exposition maps history of the blood sports and fishing in Liptov from the Middle Ages. Museum also organizes the short-term expositions and events. Among the exhibits you can find different hunting equipments, samples of the quarry, but also blood sports room furnished according to the contemporary style.
THE HOUSE OF PHOTOGRAPHY was established early in 1999. It is a non-profit cultural institution focusing on activities related to raising a professional as well as non-professional interest in photography, creative art and film.
The exposition "Tatrín and Memorandum of the Slovak Nation" is located in the rooms of the former evangelic parsonage. The parsonage was a witness to the life of many personalities such as Matúš Blaho-a priest, Juraj Jánošík and Michal Miloslav Hodža.
These mills were built i n the 1st part of the 19th century. The upper mill called Gejdošovský is situated close to the road, and the lower mill called Brunčiakovský is to be found behind the brook. The upper mill was three roomed, and a water wheel ensured a good working performance. A married couple by the names of Mary and Pavol Gejdoš lived in the mill from 1920.
The Museum of Liptov village in Pribylina was built in touch of the building of the water dam Liptovská Mara. The valuest architectural memories were expedited (because of the flood) to the Pribylina where are open for the public from the 1991 as a Museum of Liptov village. The visitor can admire an ability of carpenters whose allow us to see a lifestyle in the past.
The static exposition of „Povazska logging railway“ is part of The museum of Liptov village in Pribylina. The path from The Gothic church is going straight to the railwaystation.. The exposition is building in stages.The steam locomotives, the motor carriege or personal carriege you can find in this wood-railwaystation. The most interesting is the motor carriege M21006 and the steam locomotive CČ4. The oldest locomotive is from the 1912.
The Razus´s house is a house of Martin Rázus (1888 – 1937) and his sister
Mária Rázus-Marták (1905 – 1964). They were very popular writers in that time. The house was a part of the village called Vrbica which became part of the town Liptovský Mikuláš from 1923. It is situated in the long court in the Vrbická Street.
The museum occupies with the protection of nature and caves in Slovakia.
It has the fixed exhibitions: The minerals, Caves in Slovakia,The nature under the protection.The exposition of minerals - you can admire about 400 minerals from the Slovak areas and foreign areas as well.

Vlkolínec is a small village on top of Sidorovo hill close to the town of Ružomberok. It represents a typical mountain settlement of the Liptov region. Documents mentioning this town date back to 1376.
